 This is an in-depth expository study of the book of Philippians. Our Great Shepherd: Expository Studies in Psalm 23
 This was a four part sermon series in this well known Psalm of David. The material covers the identity of the Shepherd (v. 1); the activity of the Shepherd (vv. 2-3); the protection of the Shepherd (v. 4); the blessing of the shepherd (vv. 5-6). Then follows a sermon entitled The Shepherd is the Lamb, revealing how this Shepherd also gave His life for His sheep. Additional sermons by John Angell James and Horatius Bonar are also included. This is a very practical work (25 pages).

The Anguish of Job and the Wisdom of God
 These are expository studies from the book of Job. Job is a very difficult book to understand, and yet it is an extremely important book in the wisdom literature of the Bible. These detailed studies capture the essence of the book; develop its primary themes; rightly relate the sections to one another and the whole; and then apply the message for the edification of the reader (120 pages).

The Atonement of Christ
 This is a study of the most significant texts on the atonement of Christ from Genesis to Revelation, as they were expounded in communion sermons for over two years. This approach makes this a biblical theology study of the atonement (as opposed to a systematic theology study). It brings together and harmonizes in a practical way what both Testaments teach on the subject (120 pages).

The Farewell Discourse of Our Lord Jesus
 These are expository studies in John 13-17, which was the scene of our Lord’s Passover Seder with His twelve disciples. It opens with the washing of their feet (13), continues with the encouraging teaching of Jesus (14-16), and then concludes with His high priestly prayer (17). The detailed exposition develops every aspect of this portion of Christian with practical application (150 pages).

The Fruit of the Holy Spirit: Expository Studies in Galatians 5:16-25
 This was a series of sermons on this important subject related to Christian character. Although there seems to be so much emphasis upon spiritual gifts in the church today (and that is not all wrong), the Bible places far more emphasis upon the spiritual fruit that must characterize all genuine Christians. This study expounds and applies each of the nine-fold aspects of the Holy Spirit’s fruit (41 pages).

The Gospel According to Grace
 These are expository studies in Romans 1-8. The major emphasis of this work is Romans 6-8, but there are several vital studies in chapters 1-5 which develop Paul’s thought and establish the overall context. The thrust of the work is to reveal the reason why Christians must be holy, and to set us on a straight course with respect to our ongoing sanctification. This is a very helpful work (103 pages).

The Gospel of Belief
 This is an in-depth expository study of the gospel of John. The introductory section provides the historical and cultural background of this Gospel. The entire book is then expounded, although much attention given to the seven “I Am” sayings and the seven “signs” around which John constructed his book. There are useful maps and diagrams and each section includes practical application (260 pages).

The Kingdom Manifesto
 These are expository studies in the Sermon on the Mount as recorded in Matthew’s Gospel (5-7). Much detail is given to the beatitudes, and then the Lord’s rebuttal of the Rabbinic tradition of His day. Every “thought block” of the sermon is carefully expounded and related to its immediate and overall context, with significant practical application given for meditation and practice (206 pages).

The Life of Christ: According to the Synoptic Gospels
 This is basically a harmony of the synoptic gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. It presents all that these gospels reveal about the birth and early life of Jesus; His baptism and temptation; and then samples of His discourses, miracles and parables are given. Special attention is given to the journey toward Jerusalem is it is presented by Luke. When we come to the Passion Week, once again all that the gospels reveal is dealt with in harmonistic fashion. A valuable look at Christ’s life (155 pages).

The Tests of Life
 This is an in-depth expository study in the three epistles of John. The bulk of the material is devoted to First John, with special emphasis given to John’s three-fold test of spiritual life, which included right doctrine, righteous living, and loving the brethren. The other two epistles, although more brief but not less important, are expounded and their themes are developed and applied (150 pages).

 This is an in-depth expository study of the book of James. The entire book is expounded; the major themes are developed; the relationship to other biblical “wisdom literature” is highlighted; and practical application is emphasized. The message of this book is extremely relevant for the modern Christian, and its study will provide rich spiritual benefits for every serious Christian (135 pages).

What Christ Thinks of
the Church
 This is an in-depth expository study in Revelation 2-3, which are the final words of Jesus to His church in the form of seven letters. This is a very important portion of Scripture because it reveals various conditions that constantly trouble the church. The Lord infallibly identifies their problems, brings forth the necessary corrective, and calls for thorough repentance. That is followed by precious promises for those who overcome, and dire warnings for those who don’t (80 pages).

Essential Christianity: Christ Is All and In All
 This is an in-depth exposition of the book of Colossians, with special emphasis upon the supremacy of Christ (chapter 1), followed by the sufficiency of Christ (chapter 2), and concluding with the believer's commitment to Christ (chapters 3-4). The heart of the exposition is the development of the superiority of Christ over ALL humanistic philosophies and false religions, which is a much needed word in the church today (122 pages).

The Parables of Our Lord Jesus Christ
 These are expository studies from the synoptic gospels. All of the Parables of Jesus were covered, with special emphasis being given to the "kingdom" theme that is so prevalent in most of the parables. Each parable is developed in relation to its context; is thoroughly expounded, and is appropriately applied to the life of both the unbeliever and the believer. This is a great resource on this difficult and often controversial teaching ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ (167 pages).

 These are expository studies in the early chapters of the book of Genesis. Virtually all the key biblical themes that are developed throughout the Scriptures have their origin in the book of Genesis. In this study these themes are identified, expounded, and applied.
